I have been photographing New York City since I moved here in 2002.  My work can be roughly divided into two categories, nighttime cityscapes and street photography, including street portraits.  My goal is to document the visual richness of a city that I am fortunate to call home.

I rely on a simple process that is consistent with my photographic approach.  I use film, and develop the negatives by hand, with minimal post-processing adjustments.  I want the subjects to speak for themselves.  There is an imperfection in film that I think distinguishes each image,  and which confirms the uniqueness of each subject.
