| I am inspired to photograph moments — raw, unscripted and honest. In a world where there is tremendous effort to conceal and distort, to present as authentic that which is superficial, I use my camera as a flashlight, to illuminate those rare instances of unadulterated candor. I find great value in these moments of sincerity, where there is no pretense. They reveal a narrative, rich with detail, but never quite the entire story. It is a wonder that so much can be contained in a moment as brief as the click of a shutter. I strive for simplicity in my images, preferring a black and white, minimalist approach, reduced to essentials. |
