Most of the images on this website I made on film in the decade+ that I lived in New York City (2002-2014). My work consisted primarily of cityscapes, street photographs and street portraits. I had a simple process, relying on a 35mm film camera and a 50-year old Hasselblad which produced large, detailed negatives that I developed by hand. I continually review the archive of negatives I made during that time, seeking new possibilities in older images. I occasionally share them on Instagram at @adamgarelick and update this website from time to time. I now live in West Hartford, Connecticut where I have incorporated weddings and elopements.
